Divya Agarwal's Boyfriend Varun Sood On Her Performance In Cartel: 'I Still Get Goosebumps'- EXCLUSIVE
Divya Agarwal has donned six characters in the series, Cartel. We asked actress' boyfriend Varun Sood if he had a favourite out of the lot. Here's what he had to say
Divya Agarwal, who is currently locked inside the Bigg Boss OTT house, is still making waves for her solid performance in ALTBalaji's blockbuster Cartel. Divya, who plays Grissy, an assassin in the series, donned multiple looks for the series. Right from TV czarina Ekta Kapoor to fans, everyone applauded Divya's work in the series. We recently spoke to Divya's boyfriend Varun Sood, who had made an acting debut in AltBalaji's Ragini MMS 2. The actor spoke at length about Divya's work in the series and how proud he is to watch her bloom.
"I think what Divya did in Cartel was a dream role for a lot of actors out there," Varun uttered, "She gave her best to each character and performed it to the fullest. Not only her prosthetic makeup but her body language to every character was perfect. She was brilliant and has impressed everyone. It's an actor's dream to get such a role and she grabbed the opportunity and simply nailed it. She was convincing in every character that she played." The show released when Divya was locked inside the glass-walled house. Talking about watching Divya, Varun shared, "Watching Divya on screen was an emotional moment for me. She has been an amazing actor over the years and this was the moment, the world witnessed her art. She has been very dedicated over the years and worked hard to craft this art. To the world, it will be a surprise to see what a talented actor Divya Agarwal is." Divya has donned six characters in the series. We asked Varun if he had a favourite out of the lot. The actor thought about it and revealed, "Divya's every look was so different and real. I liked every time she had changed her character. It was difficult for me to choose a favourite one, but if I had to pick one among them, it had to be the character disguised as an older man. I was in shock. I still get goosebumps when I think about it. Her body language, the expressions and every single aspect about the character were so perfect that she nailed it like anything."
Lastly, when the actor was asked if there is any particular character he would have liked to do in Cartel, the actor, without thinking twice, named Major, played by Tanuj Virwani in the series. "I would have loved to play Major; it was a nice intense role. The character had a lot of alpha qualities. It instantly attracted me and I am sure I would have loved to play that one," Varun concluded.
Cartel is ALTBalaji's latest action-drama which has become a massive success. The show has quickly become a fan favourite and continues to receive love from both fans as well as critics. It is set in present-day Mumbai and is based around the Angre family, whose fate changes after an unexpected attack on their house. The star cast includes Rithvik Dhanjani, Tanuj Virwani, Jitendra Joshi, the veteran actress Supriya Pathak, Pranati Rai Prakash, Divya Agarwal, Girija Oak Godbole, Amey Wagh, Monica Dogra, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and others.
